She loves working with adults and children!
Prior to attending seminary, Pastor Kim graduated with honors from Columbia College with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten and Fifth Grade.  Pastor Kim employs her teaching skills in her First Communion and Confirmation classes as well as in leading Children’s Sermons.
Before her career as a minister, Pastor Kim’s keen interest in mission work led her to full-time employment with Habitat for Humanity.  In 1988, she worked on Habitat’s House-Raising Walk—a 1200 mile fundraising walk from Portland, Maine to Atlanta, Georgia—which raised 1.2 million dollars and 120 homes for families in need.  Pastor Kim went on to serve as Habitat’s Associate Director of Development.  More recently, Pastor Kim  led an intergenerational group of volunteers to help build homes in the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina ravaged the area.
In her spare time, Pastor Kim enjoys playing with her children Katie Grace and Daniel, reading and swimming.
